This iteration of Radio Rhizome is located in Honor The Earth Camp which utilizes Cultural, direct and Legal Actions to oppose the passing of Enbridge Pipeline 3 through Anishinaabe’s treaty lands and Mississippi Headwaters. Working closely with natives in North Minnesota and with water protectors, we installed a soundscape installation where the pipeline crossed the Mississippi. Radio Rhizome works on creating a artistic platform through immersive sound experiments to facilitate contemplation, healing and self reflection for the visitors, water protectors and general public who pass through these lands. Radio Rhizome is an ongoing dynamic, multi-city, multi-facade project that exists in diverse forms that are adapted to each specific location. At each iteration of Radio Rhizome, a unique sound work is developed to engage with a particular group of people's specific land, institution, or history, aiming to unravel and amplify the stories and identities associated with these places.
